Cruising West Towards Panama (FEB 29)
It was a sea day.
Weather conditions were nice. Walking around the topside decks, having lunch by the aft pool and sitting on our verandah all seemed excellent uses of our time. The wind was about 25 knots today, but ROTTERDAM was going in the same direction so our forward speed cancels much of the true wind making the apparent wind about 5 knots across the deck when walking into it.
I went to a lecture in the ship's main theater on tomorrow's transitioning of the canal, but it was uninspired and uninformative. Anticipating it might be, I sat in a back row of the balcony to facilitate a quick and quiet escape which I soon executed.
Tomorrow we start in at 0500, so even with setting the clocks back an hour we turned in early.
