Marion to Ft. Lauderdale (FEB 22)

We left home under blue skies with a forecast high in the low 40's. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer,  but then cooler, cloudy and rainy is the prediction for several days thereafter.

Bizarro Transportation picked us up right on schedule. It was an uneventful drive to Boston and a quick check-in at JetBlue. With few people ahead of us in line,  we sailed through TSA, our new Real-ID driver's license having no discernible influence on the process. The Priority One lounge was next to our departure gate.

The flight left on schedule with no one in the middle seat, so Pam and I had lots of room.  Three people came aboard wearing surgical masks. Pam super-sanitized our seating area. (I expected her to at any moment pull out a flamethrower to finish thre job. ) Glancing around us, the threat of Coronavirus-19 did not seem to have passengers unduly distressed.
We figurative as well as literally flew down the coast, landing a 1/2 an hour early. While the flight crew may have touted the early arrival,  the longer and longer we waited for our luggage, the less it made a difference. We finally got into a cab just about the same time we would have with an on‐time arrival.

The weather was and would remain there rest of the day mostly cloudy with occasional light to not-so-light passing showers.

Our room st the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel was on the 14th floor.  It had a nice ocean view when we could see it between showers.
For entertainment,  below us a wedding was taking place. They almost got through it before a heavier than average rain shower struck. It prompted a fast recessional.
Meanwhile we'r watched several cruise ships come out of there Port Everglades inlet.

We had nice dinner in the hotel at 3030 Ocean

It was hardly an exhausting day of travel, but an early bedtime was nevertheless inviting.
