Fair Warning
If you expect there being only a matter of hours between Pam & I having an experience and your reading about it, anticipate being disappointed. Posts on our last two trips were day, weeks and alas I admit months late in being put up.
I discovered that I enjoy spending more of my time on vacation vacationing and less time updating my blog. I also discovered that I liked reliving a trip by writing about it after it was over. The contrary third discovery that I missed not putting up at least something about each day.
As I have on past trips, I expect to take real-time notes to including in posts; that part is usually easy. It is expanding them and incorporating edited pictures that is time-consuming. On this trip, I am going to try posting just a quick summary each day consisting of perhaps a paragraph of text and just a few pictures. This should satisfy my need to put something up should anyone care to read it without chainsawing through time I want to spend on more demanding tasks that include reading a book, taking a nap, staring blankly out to sea and so forth. When I get home, I will over a to-be-determined amount of time expand each post, hopefully before we leave for Alaska in mid-June.
Will this new plan survive implementation for more than a few days? I will commit to a definite maybe. This cruise is not a 'busy' as the last two, but I there will be those pesky books, naps, etc. competing for my time.
[NOTE: If you subscribe to this blog, which means nothing more than that you sign up to receive new posts by e-mail, expanded posts do not trigger a new e-mail so should there be something of particular interest to you, check to blog periodically. You can also e-mail me a request for more information.]
